About Ross Buehler

Ross W. Buehler has been practicing law in St, Charles County since graduation from law school in 1986. Ross is originally from Iowa where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wartburg College, Waverly Iowa, a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Drake University Law School, Des Moines, Iowa.

Ross began his Legal career representing indigent persons charged with crimes in St. Charles, Lincoln, Pike and Warren Counties with the Missouri Public Defender System. He then took a position with the Clayton, Missouri criminal defense firm of Shaw, Howlett and Knappenberger, where he had the privilege of learning from the renowned trial attorney Charles M. Shaw.

He left this firm to join the St. Charles County, Missouri Prosecuting Attorney’s Office where he served for over fifteen years. He served as Chief Trial Attorney, First Assistant and Team Leader for the Sexual Offender, Child Abuse and Domestic Violence Prosecution Unit. He served as lead counsel in numerous complex felony trials ranging from homicides, serious assaults, rape, sodomy, sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence cases. He was the lead counsel in the prosecution of Brian Stewart who was convicted of injecting the HIV virus into his infant son. Mr. Buehler completed the National Association of District Attorney’s Career Prosecutor Course at the University of Houston and has completed numerous courses involving forensic evidence and courtroom advocacy.  He is also a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy master litigator course.

For his work in the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office Ross has been awarded the American Legion Citation for Meritorious Service from St. Charles American Legion Post 312 and the Light of Excellence Award from the Family Violence Council of St. Charles County for his efforts to towards the response to violence against women in St. Charles County.

Mr. Buehler left the St. Charles Prosecutor’s Office in 2005 to join our firm Lampin, Kell, Linson, Buehler and Chandler, which has become The Lampin Law Firm. He currently represents clients charged with criminal offenses including municipal infractions, traffic offenses, DWI, misdemeanors, felonies, and federal crimes. He also represents clients and assists them with personal and small business bankruptcies. With his vast experience with handling domestic violence and child abuse cases as a prosecutor, he also represents persons in family court and is a Court appointed Guardian Ad Litem in St. Charles County where he represents children in domestic cases.

Mr. Buehler is licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and in the United States District Court of Eastern Missouri.
